Oooooh Fancy!

I wanted to show off my oh-so-sexy mannequin head! I named her Wanda :) I spent a good 1/2 hour or so curling her hair and I was very proud of myself :)

Haircuts!!!

Here is Scott playing "model" on Saturday. One of our instructors, Jordan, cut his hair to show us how to do a basic men's cut. Trianna is on the left, Brittany in the back.
My first haircut!!! (on a real person) My friend Breanne Tolman was such a sport and agreed to let me cut her gorgeous (THICK!) red hair :) I have to say I was very proud of myself! I didn't make any mistakes and her hair was even on both sides. GO ME!

First Day Musings

Today was my first day of hair school. Yipee! Aside from having the flu (still!!!) it was fun. There are only 3 of us in the class. We're all newly married and over the age of 18 so we were all excited about that. Apparently I wasn't the only one that was dreading being stuck in a class full of high school girls. Thankfully, these girls are not at like the 18 year olds. In fact, they were more annoyed by the young ones than I was during theory class :) (we only have to be with them for an hour a day during theory...phew!!) Triana and Brittany are both really nice girls and we all get a long really well.
Getting our kits was like a really expensive Christmas! It was so much fun opening all of our things and organizing them. I'm extremely jealous of the straightener, I want it for my own!
We learned how to wash hair properly and then we washed each others. Hooray for head massage!

More proof of my nerdiness

As if you needed more proof! But here it is: The pictures of the cast that will be playing The Cullens in the film adaptation of "Twilight". I'll admit to being a little worried about being disapointed with the film as the books are so great; but I'm excited all the same!

Valentine's Day!

I know, I know...I'm a little...okay VERY late at posting this. Scott bought me a digital camera for Christmas and let's face it: I'm still not sure how to use the thing.
Anyway, this was our little Valentine's Day dinner! I set the table cute and made a cake, Scott brought home roses and Bajio! Nothing like a quiet night in!!!

New Horizons

February turned out to be a month of decision making. Things weren't working out at my job, and neither was school.

I'd mentioned to Scott that I was thinking about going to hair school again. I'd thought about it before, even visited a few schools to get more information. The timing just never felt right. I started thinking about it again, and what do ya know? - it just felt right. Things really fell into place after that!

I quit my job (WOO HOO!! ) and I start at Capelli's Institute of Hair on Tuesday, March 18th. I am soooo excited!

In other decision news, Scott will be getting his Associates Degree from UVSC in April! (WOO HOO!) We are both pretty sick of UVSC and their constant tuition hikes, so Scott is going to see about transfering to BYU to get his Bachelor's degree. He's a smarty-pants and gets good grades so we're hoping he can be a Cougar! (crosses fingers)
