I just had to put in a word about dearest Heath! Not only did he have a one-in-a-million smile, he was a terrific actor.
"The Dark Knight" was, well, just that: DARK! Although Scott and I wondered how in the world the film managed to get a PG-13 rating (it was really violent) we still enjoyed it. Heath was amazing and extremely creepy as the Joker. Creepy, but also really funny at the same time. However good he was as a psychotic killer, he'll always be dear Patrick Verona singing on the steps of the high school sports field :)
Here's to you Heath!

TWINS!!!!!!!!!
Ok, not really. But these are our babies for now :) I've had parakeets since I was 13 and I just love them! So when I found 2 males for sale on KSL.com I jumped at the chance! (Girl birds are SO not fun).
The green one is Romeo and the blue/white one is Blizzard. I really don't care for their names but one is technically not supposed to change them. However, I'm debating between a few names, like Oscar Wilde, or naming one Tolstoy and the other Tennyson. But Frodo and Samwise are good options too! So we'll see how the naming process goes...

4th of July Fun
What started as a lovely family BBQ and a couple water balloons, turned into an all out war! Mel was thrown in the pool and then sprayed with the hose mercilessly.
Then Dad came running out of the house with quite the squirt gun!
And here we are in all our soaked glory! That's Mel's friend Austin next to me.
After running home to change into dry clothes, we could see the PG fireworks from the Shoell's driveway. Yay for Independence Day!
