Stockings & Aprons

Every year Scott and I go enjoy the Festival of Trees and every year I wish I could donate something. I have 2 nephews, a cousin and my own husband who have benefited from Primary Children's and I wanted to give back a little. Since I can't afford to donate an entire tree (someday!) I decided to try out my new found sewing skills to donate items to the boutique.

These two Gingerbread aprons are probably my favorite. They're hard to see but they have little gingerbread men buttons that I'm in love with.

I also did 4 stockings!

Successsssssss!

I finally succeeded in making good pumpkin bread. I can make all kinds of breads and they turn out fine but my pumpkin never did. Can I tell you how proud I am of my own self??

Cascade Springs

We went with Mel and Ryan to Cascade Springs on Friday evening. The colors in the canyon are GORGEOUS right now. I highly recommend driving the Alpine Loop in the next couple of weeks!

Yellowstone 2010

We went on another fun-filled trip to Yellowstone National Park. I love it there. It just makes me happy. Here are just a few of the highlights. Shoshone Lake. It's a 6 mile hike - 3 in, 3 out. It's not too bad of a hike; there were some steep bits but not bad. We were so proud of my mom! She hiked the whole things with us. Not bad for a 70 year old. (Forget I said that. She would probably be mad if she knew I'd posted her age...)

Scott at Shoshone lake unpacking our lunches.

Mom and Scott on the trail to Shoshone Lake.

A big buck in the Mammoth village.

Scott - freezing- at Mammoth terrace. The first day, when we did the 6 mile hike, the weather was gorgeous - just hit the low 70's. The rest of the days were REALLY cold.

Us with Lower Falls in the background.

Mom and Dad outside of our cabin. The time-share they own got taken over by the Trading Places company so we can trade (hence the name ha ha) and go several different places. These cabins are in Island Park, ID which is about 20 minutes out of West Yellowstone.

A gorgeous Grizzly bear at the Grizzly and Wolf discovery Center in West Yellowstone.

Scott with the Canyon in the background. Isn't he just handsome? And scruffy? He didn't shave the whole trip.

Waiting for our food in the 3 Bears Restaurant, West Yellowstone.
